Swarovski Star with 25,000 crystals shines on Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
The Swarovski Star shone on bright as it was set atop the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. The 550-pound Star is made from 25,000 crystals, with one million facets and has 300-pounds of crystal panels. It is made up with six outer rays and six smaller inner rays, as per reports.
At the time of the Star being lifted to the tree, model and jewellery design collaborator Miranda Kerr along with Nadja Swarovski, Member of the Executive Board of Swarovski were present to see this beautiful sight being created. It was the work of nine artisans with 1,200 hours involved in installing, programming and testing the Star which was raised to the height of around 80-feet above Rockefeller Plaza.
The starry beauty will shine through the remaining 2015 holiday season, as per reports.
