During this period, production increased 6 percent on y-o-y basis to 38.3 million carats, the company noted. In the fourth quarter of the year, Alrosa sold 7.1 million carats of diamonds, including 4.1 million carats of gem-quality diamonds at an average price of USD 166 per carat and 3 million carats of industrial diamonds at an average price of USD 10 per carat.
