42nd India Gem & Jewellery Awards to unfold in Jaipur
The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will be honouring individuals and companies from the jewellery sector chosen on the merit of them demonstrating excellence in business and related spheres in the year, as per reports. The awards will be given at GJEPC’s 42nd Annual Awards Scheme or India Gem Jewellery Awards at Jaipur on March 12.
The event will host dignitaries including Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Commerce Industry, Smt Nirmala Seetharaman as Chief Guest and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan Smt Vasundhara Raje as the Presiding Guest.
The winners were selected through an independent process wherein the nominees were shortlisted by the Council’s Knowledge Partner – DNB applying a specific alogarithm. Winners were selected by a panel of jury, reports add.
The awards are centred on recognising the intrinsic values of successful firms which have achieved 360 degree excellence and the role of small and medium enterprises in the industry. There are individual awards for manufacturers across categories – large, small and medium. Over the past few years, the award categories extended to honouring women entrepreneurs, socially responsible businesses, fast growing companies, emerging entrepreneurs and such. In addition to this, an award for the best in the e-commerce category has been included this year, reports add.
