Signet’s Fiscal 2016 sales rise 14.2%
For its annual period closing January 30, 2016 Signet Jewelers Limited announced a rise in its total sales, that of 14.2 percent on y-o-y basis, to amount to US$ 6.55 billion, as per reports.
The company’s fourth quarter sales were up 5.1 percent to US$ 2,392.6 million on y-o-y basis. Its e-commerce sales in this period rose 11.2 percent to US$ 166.3 million from the fourth quarter Fiscal 2015, as per reports. Same store sales rose 4.9 percent which the company attributes to sale of diamond fashion jewelry.
In the annual period, the company’s same store sales showed a rise, of 4.1 percent. Its diluted earnings per share(EPS) rose 24 percent and adjusted EPS by 22 percent. The EPS in the fourth quarter rose over 20 percent and adjusted EPS by 18 percent.
The company views its performance of having delivered good top and bottom line growth. It attributed the results to be driven by product innovation, targeted marketing and good customer service.
