International Tender Centre to be opened during IDWI
A new International Tender Centre is set to be inaugurated by the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE). This will take place on February 14, 2017 during the 6th International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI). The visit of Alrosa President Andrey Zharkov, also a guest of honor at IDWI, is timed to coincide with the opening of the tender center, reports say.
The International Tender Center is being established by IDE with the intent to consolidate maximum rough and polished diamond tenders on a single platform. It will offer a valuable service package, including marketing to buyers in Israel and abroad, attractive travel packages for buyers, including assistance in the visa application process, discounts with hotels in the Israel Diamond Exchange area and deals with shipping companies.
According to IDE President Yoram Dvash, the purpose is to “attract an even greater number of tenders. We’re confident that the benefits we offer will keep the center busy throughout the year”, as per reports.
During the IDWI, the IDE will host polished and rough diamond tenders by Alrosa, I. Hennig and Koin.
The new centre is located in a specially designed state of the art facility within the IDE complex, with offering optimal convenience and security through the process. Private evaluation rooms are built around a secured control room, one-way mirrors and closed-circuit cameras cover every evaluation room within the centre.
The IDWI 2017 is being held between February 13 – 16, 2017.
